Many ask...what is the difference between hand lettering and calligraphy? Hand lettering is essentially drawing letters. It’s different from calligraphy, where we use basic strokes to form letters and words. With hand lettering, each letter is carefully thought out. When creating a hand lettering piece, each letter and word is created to work in those situations only. In this class, led by Lyndsay from The Moonlighter, students will learn: * Basic letterforms & terminology * The different tools and when and how to use them * Best practices for composition & finishing * Finding your own style and perfecting it * How to fix (or flourish!) a mistake Class supply packet includes pencil, large eraser, felt tip ink pen, various practice pages, chalkboard sign, pen pouch, and paint pen. Other tools will be introduced for teaching but not included in take-home items. Cost: $40 per person, ages 12 and up. Duration: 2 hours Registration will end 24 hours prior to the class start time. If the booking is canceled within 48 hours of the class, there will be a $20 cancelation fee. No refunds on bookings canceled after the 48 hours prior to the class. If you have a group of 6 or more and would like to book a private event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the details of your event. All participants receive 10% off in-store purchases the day of the event.
All classes are non-refundable unless stated otherwise but are transferable to someone else. We will do our best to reschedule you if there is availability. If the class is hosted by a third-party and rescheduling is not allowed, you are more than welcome to come by and pick up the items you purchased for the class afterward.
